The medical team from the Clinic for Dermatology and MMA’s Medical Research Institute introduced new diagnostic methods for autoimmune bullous dermatosis. That way made possible to Military Medical Academy to carry out ELISA tests using antigen desmoglein 1 and desmoglein 3 for patients with pemphigus and BP 180 and BP 230 anti-bodies in bullous pemphigoid. The said tests will give the important contribution to better diagnostic and monitoring of the patients with autoimmune bullous dermatosis.

This process continued the work of Laboratory for Immuno dermatology operating within the framework of the Clinic for Dermatology, entamed in early 1972 by Colonel Prof. Dr. ZvonkoStefanović.
